How to study English -Ago vs Before
Hello again!
Today I will show you a common mistake that everyone seems to make and that is using before when you should be using ago. We use ago when we are talking about a time in reference to the present, whereas we use before when we are talking about something that happened in a time preceding another past event.
I lived in Yamaguchi 14 years before. X
I lived in Yamaguchi 14 years ago. O
I lived in Yamaguchi 14 years ago, before that I was travelling in Australia. O
