Talk about myself/my hometown/my country
diet/health and exercise in Uganda

Hello there, how’s the weekend going? Hope you haven’t  given up on the new year’s resolution yet, right?

Sticking to this week’s theme of diet/health and exercise, I’d like to tell you an interesting fact about my country Uganda. Up until the early 90s, being fat or a little overweight was a sign of wealth and a happy life. Many government officials and successful business persons used to have large bellies (stomachs ) and they were admired. That changed in the late 90s and early 2000s. Now, there are many fitness gyms in the cities and working out at the gym and doing yoga exercises is in vogue(trendy). And the president, who is 76 years old, is a fitness freak.
