Talk about myself/my hometown/my country
It’s a good idea to greet people especially in small towns
Greetings everyone, hope you’re chilling out after a busy week. Sticking to the topic, “Giving and asking for directions”, in my home country we’re taught from a young age to always greet people, even strangers. Say hello to people you pass, especially in a small town. In case you lose your way and have to turn around, they’ll be more willing to point you in the right direction if you’d greeted them when you passed them earlier.
So, it’s a good idea to say a word of greeting. It’s good manners, too.

みなさん、こんにちは。
忙しい１週間を過ぎましたが、リラックスできていますか？
レッスンテーマ「Give Directions」に関連して、私の母国では、幼い頃から、見知らぬ人でさえも常に人々に挨拶するように教えられています。
特に小さな町では、通りすがりの人に挨拶をします。
あなたがもし道に迷って、引き返さなければならなくなった時、あなたから先にそこにいる人たちに挨拶していたならば、彼らは喜んであなたに正しい道を教えてくれるでしょう。
ですから、挨拶をするのは良い考えです。良いマナーでもあります。
