Hi everyone, today I would like to show you one of my favourite British slang terms.
Dodgy
Dodgy means suspicious or dangerous, it can be used to describe, people places, or sometimes even food.
Here are a few examples.
Ex) I never go down that street late at night. I’ve heard it’s a bit dodgy. ( dangerous)
Ex)Some guy tried to sell me a dodgy watch on the street yesterday. ( in this case probably fake or stolen)
Ex)The guy who tried to sell me the watch on the street yesterday looked a bit dodgy. ( dangerous, untrustworthy)
Ex)Don’t eat that fish! It smells a bit dodgy. ( possibly gone bad)
It’s a great word and as you can see you can use it for a number of different situations.

この言葉は様々なシチュエーションで使えるので便利ですよ。
