Personalise your classes

Your private classes are fully customized and there are few things if any that we can’t do. We have helped students across a wide range of occupations, across a wide range of language needs and there is almost nothing I can think of pertaining to an English lesson that we can’t do at a high level.

Please always remember that your private classes are fully personalized and use that feature to study what you want to. We are always open to communication and consultation so if there is anything that you would like to focus your studies on, please let us know!

Checking your Student Files

Hello everyone,
In Kensington we have a sheet with all the private lessons taking place every day. We call this the “Muchachos” sheet, and I have no idea why we called it this way (Muchachos means friends in Spanish) but we did and it has stuck for a few years now. 

As all our private students know, you all have your individual personalized student file with all your lessons and all the comments from the teacher on how you did in class. One thing you may not know is that Jaimie and I, check each and every file after each and every class.

We do that to see how each student did each class, to choose their next class and to make sure their lessons are always customized to their needs. 

That’s really great service people! All the other schools I worked for, had no way of tracking student progress and to be perfectly honest most of them didn’t care. They cared only about making cash and I can’t name names but many (most?) of the big Eikaiwas are just like that. 

Are we perfect? No of course not, there are so many things that we want to improve and will continue doing so, but we genuinely care about and work hard for the quality of our lessons and that distinguishes us from all the other run-of-the-mill Eikaiwas out there! レッスンファイルの確認

みなさん、こんにちは。

ケンジントン英会話では、「ムチャチョス」シートと呼ばれるファイルを毎日チェックしています。
なぜ「ムチャチョス」（ムチャチョスはスペイン語で友達を意味します）という名前にしたのかわかりませんが、私たちはその名前に決め、数年間そのシートを運用しています。

プライベートレッスンでは、生徒さんはレッスンファイルという、生徒さんそれぞれ個別のファイルを持っています。
そのレッスンファイルの中には、受講したレッスンや講師からのコメントを確認することができます。
あなたが知らないかもしれないことは、ジェイミーと私が、すべてのレッスンの後にすべてのファイルをチェックしているということです。

生徒さんが各レッスンをどのように行ったかを確認し、次のレッスンを準備し、レッスンが常に生徒さんのニーズに合わせてカスタマイズされているかのチェックをしています。

素晴らしいサービスマン！
私が以前働いていた全ての学校には、生徒さんの進捗を確認する方法がなく、正直に言うと、ほとんどの学校ではそこを気にしていませんでした。
彼らはお金を稼ぐことだけを気にしていて、どことは言えませんが、大手の英会話スクールの多く（ほとんど？）はそのようなものです。

私たちはもちろん完璧ではありません。
改善したいことはたくさんあり、これからも改善し続けていきますが、常に念頭に置いていることは、レッスンの質に真剣に気を配り一生懸命取り組むということです。
これは他のありふれた英会話スクールとは違う、ケンジントン英会話の特徴です。

This week’s subject
Planning a trip

Hello everyone,

This weekend in our classrooms in Fukuoka city and online we are going to be doing one of my favourite lessons. It’s called “planning a trip” and I really love this class because it simulates a natural discussion with a friend at a cafe or a restaurant while using a lot of useful language and grammar that we have already covered in many classes along our Kensington curriculum.

Some of the things we’ll be doing is Small talk with a friend, ordering at a restaurant, asking and making suggestions and agreeing, disagreeing about different traveling options.

The corona situation in Fukuoka and across the world is steadily improving so it’s a good time to be preparing for a trip!!

このレッスンでは、カフェやレストランでの友人との自然な会話をシミュレーションします。
そこでは、他のレッスンでも取り上げた多くの役立つフレーズや文法を使っていくので、私はこのレッスンが大好きです。

レッスンではこのようなことを行います。
・友人とのスモールトーク
・レストランでの注文
・質問と提案
・さまざまな選択肢についての賛成、反対

福岡をはじめ世界中のコロナに関する状況は着実に改善しているので、旅行の準備をする良い機会です！
