Travel English -some/ the/ a or an
Hello there,
I know we have talked about how to order in restaurants a lot but I’m going to explain the grammar a little bit here.
When we are ordering from the starter, main course or sweets menu we use the with the dish we want.
For example..
I’ll have the steak in pepper sauce please.
We use a/an when ordering side orders and drinks.
I’ll have an orange juice please.
I’d like a side salad please.
We can use some for uncountable nouns like cake/ wine/ cheese/ bread etc
I’d like some chocolate cake please.
May I have some blue cheese please.

レストランでの注文の仕方は何度もレッスンしてきましたが、ここでは文法について少し説明したいと思います。
スターターからメイン、そしてデザートをオーダーするとき、オーダーしたいものの前にtheをつけます。
例えば、
ペッパーソースのステーキをください。
サイドメニューのオーダーやドリンクは、a/anを使います。
オレンジジュースをください。
サイドでサラダをください。
ケーキ、ワイン、チーズ、パンなどの数えられない名詞のときはsomeを使います。
チョコレートケーキをください。
ブルーチーズを頂けますか？
