Hello there everyone, today I want to correct a little mistake that everyone seems to make.
When you are talking about a past holiday, you should use the in front of other nouns in order for it to mean that you are talking about a specific place.
For example.
How was France?
It was great. I love food. ✖
It was great. I love the food. 〇
If you don’t add “the” to the sentence it simply means that you love food in general. We use “the” to talk about something specific that has been previously mentioned in a conversation.
