At the drop of a hat
Hello there everyone!
Since we are talking about fast food this weekend in class, I’d like to introduce this phrase to you. At the drop of a hat means to do something quickly, without hesitation ,and quite often without thinking or self control.
Examples
“I don’t enjoy working with Don, he gets mad at the drop of a hat and is always screaming at the other staff.”
“I used to be very shy when I was a teenager. My face would go red at the drop of a hat.”

今週末のレッスンはファーストフードなので、今日はこのフレーズをご紹介したいと思います。
「At the drop of a hat」は、ためらうことなく、そしてしばしば考えや自制心なしに、何かを素早く行うことを意味します。
例：
I don’t enjoy working with Don, he gets mad at the drop of a hat and is always screaming at the other staff.
(私はドンと一緒に仕事をするのが好きではありません。彼はすぐに怒り、他のスタッフにいつも叫んでいます。)
I used to be very shy when I was a teenager. My face would go red at the drop of a hat.
