Can you believe another year has zipped by? We’re already halfway through the decade! How’s everyone doing—what wins or fun moments have you had this year?
Before talking about the best of the year, let’s check some synonyms for “best” and increase our vocabulary:
- Excellent. He was an excellent singer.
- Superlative. She gave a superlative performance.
- Superb. The meal was absolutely superb.
- Outstanding. He is an outstanding chef.
- First class She’s a first-class lawyer.
- Standout (mainly US.) She is a standout among the available candidates
- top-notch (informal) …His work on the project was top-notch.
- Tip-top (mainly UK informal). Our car is in tip-top shape after the recent service
